Between the 7th and 9th of November, 2011, happened in Salvador, at the Universidade do Estado da Bahia (Bahia State University), the 10th Brazilian Game Symposium (SB Games). Arthur Protasio, Coordinator of CTS Game Studies and president of IGDA Rio, took part on the round table “IGDA Brasil – fomenting community integration, multidisciplinary creativity and the gaming scenario in Brazil”. It was part of the Industry Section, which occurred Wednesday (11/09/2011) from 08:10am – 09:20am.
The aim was to discuss how each chapter of IGDA began and what were the distinct strategies adopted to promote connections among the game development community. Besides, there was a reflection on what are the various roles of each member of IGDA and how do their different professional experiences contribute to the gaming panorama. Law practitioners, academia, programmers and so many others are building together the gaming market.
